Adventure Travel By Bike

If you're not a hiker and don't enjoy walking but you want to explore the country side up close you might want to consider traveling by bike. You can travel by motorcycle or bicycle and experience many of the same things a hiker would only you can travel a bit faster.

There are a lot of great places to explore on a bike in the US and abroad. So decide on your mode of travel (bicycle or motorcycle), pick your place and getting ready for some amazing adventure travel.

Tour the US

If you live in the US it is the perfect place to start out with on a bike tour. You can start on one coast and work your way across the US to the other coast. And the nice thing about biking across the US - many of the cities and towns have build in bike trails. Traveling can't get any better than that! Day trips are nice on a bike too. Check out your neighboring towns and see where the bike trails lead. Places like the Poconos Mountains make excellent day trips. If you speak Spanish there are some wonderful places to explore on a bike. The Road North in Chile is one of the favorite places to tour on a bike. You can get tour packages that will guide you on the right path and help you make your plans. Costa Rica is also nice for biking. The Tapanti Biological reserve allows you to bike through and offers a glimpse of simply stunning plants and native animals. Costa Rica also has hot springs to relax in when you are ready to stop.

Places in Europe and Great Britain make for fun adventure travel. Since many of the native peoples travel by bike the roads are well traveled and suited to bicycling. On many islands the only mode of travels is a bike so this type of tour is readily available and the perfect way to explore the locale.

Traveling by Motorcycle

Adventurous types seem to love traveling on a motorcycle. Motorcycles can take you any where that a road leads and can also get you places a car cannot. Events for motorcyclists are scattered through the country and across the calendar. You can do some amazing things on a motorcycle. Not all places allow motorcycles or limit where you can ride one at - so if you are planning on visit state or national parks check the rules and regulations before taking in your motorcycle.
