Choosing The Right Bicycle

If you're considering a new bicycle, there are a couple of important factors that you want to be aware of. Firstly it's not enough that the bike is good looking - you need to make sure that you're getting the bike that will carry out your needs to the fullest. Many people don't consider that they probably use their bike primarily for grocery shopping or picking up their kids from school. They just saw this awesome mountain bike with 21 gears from Giant or Cube and just can't resist its good looks.

In this case you might want to consider a city bike which is practical for everyday uses. If you get a mountain bike, it should be for the right reasons - if you enjoy biking off road in the woods, and you already have a practical bike for commuting to work then it might be a wise choice to get a mountain bike.

If you're in the market for a road bike (racing), then you should consider whether you'll really use it. Many customers who invest in a road bike only use it a couple of times and then it's just left in the shed to collect dust. If you're going to invest many hundreds of dollars it would be wise to try or maybe even borrow a bike from a friend or family member in order to make sure that you're going to use it on a regular basis.

If you've made sure that a mountain or road bike is the right choice for you, then you should start scoping the market for the best price and possibly service. If you're new to the game then it might be wise to purchase your new bike at an authorized bike dealer who can give you the proper service and expertise. If you buy the bike used or at a web shop then you probably won't get the necessary advice and service which can be crucial for a first time buyer.

Make sure a try the bike before buying it. Many bike stores offer test rides to make sure that their customers are comfortable with the bike before investing. It might also be a good idea to get an extended warranty and service, so you can come back and get your bike checked after a while.

I've had quite a few bikes myself and I'm comfortable buying without the extra service. I already have a mountain bike and a road bike, but my practical city bike just broke in the beginning of the year and I had to invest in a new one. My primary objective was to get a quality-tested bicycle for the best possible price. So I scoped the market and found a really good and cheap city bike at one af the largest bike stores in Denmark: Coop - Cykler. The bike has all the necessary gear as has been tested and certified by European standards, so even though the bike was cheap I knor that I'm getting a bike which is safe to ride.

Why do most white girls look like this?
More than half of every white girl I see fits the following description: #1 huge non-perky breasts #2 butt as flat as my tv #3 slightly overweight #4 wears sunglasses with lenses the size of grapefruits #5 wears tight shirts with a word/design/brand across the front to draw attention to #1 and away from the bicycle tire(s) around her stomach area #6 wears skinny jeans which clearly show #2 Are most white girls destined to look like this due to genetics, or do they purposely try to do this because they think it's hot? @Lid-ee-uh - 24 year old male, 5'11", 186lbs, 12% body fat. I look like a typical white guy who spends most of his free time at the gym. @Workin Gal - Whether my generalization of "most", not all, white females is correct or not isn't subjective, it's based on what I've witnessed. I've lived in 17 different states and have traveled to nearly every major city in the country, so I didn't come to this theory based just on local trends. More than half of all white American women are overweight. This is a stone cold fact. If people take offense to it, so be it. And for those of you who have expressed interested in my penis size: I'm just slightly larger than what many sources claim to be the average. It's not huge, though it's not tiny. I'm not ashamed. Most white men have smaller penises due to genetics. It's not something they can change. Meanwhile, being fat and looking stupid are completely controllable.

Rolling Friction (Two bicycle tires are set rolling with the same initial speed of 3.60)?
Two bicycle tires are set rolling with the same initial speed of 3.60 along a long, straight road, and the distance each travels before its speed is reduced by half is measured. One tire is inflated to a pressure of 40 psi and goes 18.4 ; the other is at 105 psi and goes 92.7 . Assume that the net horizontal force is due to rolling friction only. 1. What is the coefficient of rolling friction for the tire under low pressure? 2. What is the coefficient of rolling friction for the second one?
