Being A Part Of A Pro Cycling Team

Pro bicycling is an exciting sport to watch, whether it is a mountain bike racing or road racing, the event is fast paced and rigorous to watch. These pro cycling teams all work together during the course of the race, even if there is only one of the individuals from the team that will ultimately win. Pro cycling teams have matching clothing and other equipment so that they look like a uniform team. Pro cycling teams are also usually sponsored by different organizations so that the uniforms are covered with advertisements by those companies.

Clothing

There are many options when a pro cycling team is choosing a uniform. One choice to make is whether to use a one piece uniform or a two piece uniform. There are pros and cons to each one, and the two piece uniform is the most often chosen. The one piece skin suit is usually chosen when there are shorter races that are being participated in. The reason for this is that the one piece suit cannot hold any snack materials like the jersey can. However, the skin suit is very aerodynamic and stays in place well during the course of the race. It is usually very breathable and keeps all the padding in place, even with the movement of the ride.

The two piece pro cycling team uniform is composed of the jersey and the bib shorts in most cases. There are biking shorts that do not have a bib attached to it, but these are not as often used for racing since they do not stay in place as well. The bib shorts in the pro cycling team uniform will match the colors of the jersey so that the entire outfit goes together. There is padding in the chamois in the shorts which help to create the comfort when riding for the individuals, whether male or female, with some different in the padding placement depending on the sex of the rider. The bibs of the shorts keep the chamois in place so that it does not get bunched up and does the best possible job for the racer. The other piece of the pro cycling team uniform is the jersey, which has a couple of variations in style also. The zipper on the jersey can go all the way to the bottom, or it can go to the abdomen or just to the chest. There can be pockets in the back of the jersey for holding snack materials for energy during a longer race, which is convenient for the racer to access while continuing to ride.

How much charge can I safely pump into my batteries at a time?
I have ten 200 Amp batteries. They're massive, 68kgs. Deep cycle Gel batteries. In my inverter the charger is rated at 85amps, what is the safest amount of charge that I can pump into them at a time. I heard you get past 80 and it starts becomming dangerous amounts to charge that much at a time? Is this true? Can I have more than 85? Basically I want to charge the batteries as fast as possible when the generator is on. Thanks for any help you can give. If it helps, the inverter is a Outback 3 kva inverter and the batteries are 200A Victron batteries, the generator is a 10kva. thanks for the help. Also it's a 24volt system operating. Also didn't think of temperature- it's on average of about 20-30 degrees celcius - all through the year. (we live on the eqautor.)

Power Inverter Question?
Ok I have a gate operator that runs by solar power, which is charged by a 20 watt solar panel. The solar power unit has 2-12volt, 35 amp deep cycle gel batteries in parallel. From the batteries they run to a 750 watt vector power inverter. The inverter on/off switch is disabled and the wires that control the on/off switch are hooked into a timer. The timer is to cut the inverter on/off so it won?t run all day. When I have the on/off switch disabled the unit doesn?t work at all. That?s how it came from the manufacturer. However whenever I hook the on/off switch back up the inverter works fine. My problem is that if I leave it hooked up it will run 24/7-365 and that will eventually drain my battery life or run the inverter hot (according to the manufacturer). I did a test run with the switch hooked up for two days and it showed that the batteries had their normal voltage, also it was a sunny 90 plus degree day. Should I use it like this or look into and see if my timer is the culprit. The time engages and disengages fine it just doesn?t allow any power to gate operator. I also thought about soldering another set of wires from the on/off switch and running them to the timer. That way the switch can turn on the inverter and it will be set to a cycled timer simultaneously. Any clues or suggestions, I?m no expert but I have messed around with some small electronics before.

Best battery for backup power?
I bought a power inverter and using it on a 12 Volt 7Ah SLA battery. I am thinking about buying a 12 Volt 51 Ah deep cycle Gel Cell Sealed marine battery for power backup and power outages as this has more power and can handle more of a load. Would this be a good choice? I don't want to buy a generator I want to run like a tv and a lamp.
